Review: Morphe Brushes Individual Eye Shadows

Review: Morphe Brushes Individual Eye Shadows

These eye shadows are incredible!  I cannot express how much I love these shadows.
1. They are $2.00! Can you get any better than that? Probably not.
2. They have 65 shadows to choose from.
3. They are the best eye shadows I have ever used.

I have 11 of these shadows.
I had ordered this 12 pan shadow palette...why did I order 11 shadows?  The world will never know.
Anyways, this palette is $6.99
On the Website they have different palettes to choose from.
Empty palette $12.99
If I were to order from this website again I'd order the empty palette.  It is $12.99 but you can fit a lot of shadows in it.
Okay, let's get onto the review

See what I mean? One missing shadow, why did I do that?!

I tried getting an array of colors.  I wanted some mattes and some shimmers so that's what I got.

E22 Coffee Brown with Bronze Pearl (Velvet)

This first shade is beautiful!  Well, all of them are beautiful.  But this shade is a brown with golden bronze undertones.  I love using this shadow all over my lid when I'm feeling lazy and putting some mascara on and I'm out the door.
This Velvet formula is very similar to MAC's Veluxe Pearl shadows.

E20 Intense Brown/Gold with Shimmer (Frost)

This is a beautiful gold shadow.  It's smooth, an intense.  It's just the perfect gold

ES30 Vivid Orange (Matte)

For some reason I didn't swatch this shadow, so when I was uploading these I did it but my computer won't upload it?
This shadow is beautiful just like all the others.  This formula is perfection.  I have never touched a matte shadow with this much pigment.  It is just so intense and vivid for a matte it doesn't seem real.  Usually mattes lack pigmentation and are really chalky but not these shadows!

ES53 Soft Purple (Pearl)

This is a nice purple.  The swatches don't give it justice at all.  It's a bright plum with shimmer.

ES16 Soft Muted Rosy Brown (Satin)

I use this as a blending color and it is great for that!  It's very pigmented but it is the perfect transition between colors for some eye looks.  It looks matte to me but on the website it is described as a Satin. Either way it is amazing.

ES24 Intense Reddish Brown (Matte)

Another great transition/blending color.  Pop this in the crease when you're using browns and reds and it'll tie it all together.

ES11 Orange Copper (Veluxe Pearl)

I love this shadow! This is such an intense color.  It's a coraly pink with a veluxe pearl finish.

ES47 Golden Apricot (Shimmer)

I was hesitant to buy this shadow for some reason but I am very happy I did.  This is a great color if you are looking to step out of your boundaries.   Use this with a nice golden brown in the outer v and you will have a great eye look.

ES14 Vivid Orange Matte

This shadow is very similar to the shadow ES30 that I didn't swatch!  This is a nice color to pop in your crease as a blending color.  It is the most vivid orange eye shadow I have ever seen.

ES13 Soft Gold-Peach with Pearl (Satin)

I love this shadow but I don't really see the gold in it.

ES15 Golden Orange Brown (Matte)

The Breakdown

Rating: 9.65
Affordability: 10 ($2.00 a shadow!)
Value:10
Usage: 9 ( I use these shadows quite a few times during the week)
Pigmentation: 10 (Incredible pigmentation.)
Packaging: 7 ( These would be good to travel with, they have a lot of packaging choices to choose from)
Scent: 10 (No scent what so ever)
Feel/consistency: 10 (Butter, that is all I have to say)

This brand of eyeshadows is incredible, like I have stated 100 times above.  But seriously, if you are a beginner, a make-up artist, a mom, a teenager and everyone in between these shadows would be perfect for you.  There are so many colors to choose from along with finishes.  I have a couple of MAC Shadows and these shadows beat those in every category. These shadows even beat Urban Decay and that is my favorite high end make-up brand.  I really hope you all get the chance to check these out! I will be making another order again hopefully soon.  I'll probably check out the brushes that they have.

Thank you for checking out my blog, hopefully this was helpful.  Any questions of concerns e-mail VintageVelvett@gmail.com

Everyday Face products

ELF Mineral Face Primer $6.00
Sephora 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation $20.00
Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Highlighter and Concealer $5.99
Benefit Erase Paste $26.00
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder $4.99

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush $8.99
This ELF Mineral Face Primer is $6.00.  I found mine at Target.  This primer is clear, and has a smooth silicone feel once applied onto the face.  It gives your face a nice base before foundation and powder.  It helps your foundation last all day.  Your face make-up won't slide off with this on your face.  This is the first time that I have used this primer and I like it but my only gripe is the amount of product in it.  There is .49 OZ, 14g.  The packaging makes it seem like you have so much product when you don't.  Once I am finished with this I will be trying out some sample primers I had gotten from various brands and see if any of them preform better.

Sephora 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation.  This foundation has a pump so that's a plus.  It's always a bummer when your foundation doesn't have a pump.  And if you're spending $20.00 on a foundation it better have a pump!  I really like this foundation.  It matches me pretty well.  It's a light to medium coverage with one pump.  This foundation is very build-able. I probably won't buy this foundation again though.  I'm always looking to try different foundations and this isn't a holy grail foundation for me.

I use this Rimmel 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter as a under eye concealer.  It gives my under eyes a luminous finish.  I use this on my forehead, on my cupid's bow, and my chin.  I like it because it adds coverage to those spots and gives it a highlighted effect.  I will re-purchase this in the future.  It is easy to apply and blend out.

This Benefit Erase Paste is a very thick concealer but it covers up those dark spots and blemishes like a dream.  This does cost $26.00 so I use it sparingly.  You don't need much though so it will last you a while.  I use this just to cover up some spots.

I have repurchased this powder at least 3 times.  This Rimmel Stay Matte powder is amazing!  It is a light powder that doesn't make you look cakey.  I love this powder I can't say enough good things about it.

The Breakdown
Overall:  This is what I use on a day to day basis when I'm doing my entire face for the day. I have very acne prone skin and I have a lot of red acne break out and scars and these products cover them up just fine.  Some days I use my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness if I'm super red but mostly I use these products.  They seem to work for me and I am glad that they do.

Swatch Yourself: New NYC Expert Last Lip Color Lip Sticks

NYC Expert Last Lip Color

Blue Rose(405). Coralista(445)

These NYC Expert Last Lip Colors are $1.99.  I found mine at Rite Aid.  There are 15 available colors.  The colors range from nudes to pinks to brights and darks.  There is a nice selection.  Some are frosty and shimmery and can be seen in the package so I tried to stay away from those.

WARNING
Excuse my face, I had been wearing my face make-up for quite some time and I couldn't wait to try these lip sticks on!

This first one is Coralista (445).
It is a vivid orange.

Coralista, Blue Rose

This is Blue Rose.
This is a fuchsia color with blue undertones.

I just got these today so there will be a review posted later this week!
